Mosquitoes. With the introduction of the West Nile Virus into the United States in 1999, many humans and horses have died. The Center for Disease Control has reported 49 human fatalities and 573 cases of West Nile Encephalitis/ Meningitis throughout the United States. Columbia Basin Helicopters, Inc. is able to assist State and Federal agencies on a large or small scale with mosquitoe adulticide or larvicide programs to combat the West Nile Virus.

SATLOC DGPS swath guidance
The SATLOC M3 provides state of the art GPS guidance for aerial application. We utilize this system on all application projects. The SATLOC guidance system features a real-time graphic moving map display that provides the visual guidance, including areas applied, field boundaries, skips and overlaps, and mark points with an accuracy of within 3 feet. The system allows us to ensure all of the product is placed within the application block, track acreage applied, analyze log data, customize graphic display screen with real-time moving map, navigate to stored marks and waypoints, return to last drop point, store analyze and retrieve field data, and measure distance and area. A copy of the finished product will be provided to the customer upon request.
Accuflo Nozzle
Accuflo nozzles may be used for Forestry herbicide applications. The Accuflo nozzle gives a uniform droplet size thereby reducing drift.
Gypsy Moth and Spruce Budworm. Columbia Basin Helicopters, Inc. has a long history of supporting State and Federal gypsy moth and spruce budworm spray projects. We use both Beecomist and Micronair rotory atomizers.
